- Log buying – our niche is smaller stands – 1 to 75 trees that larger operators are generally not interested in. We use the Illinois Dept. of Forestry timber price guide and will gladly give you a bid for your standing timber or felled logs. If your log is of exceptional (veneer) quality we will help you with contacts to get the most for your log.
- Machine rates – are generally $75/hour with a $20 minimum
- Log sawing
- Band saw mill at the yard that is capable of cutting logs up to 36” in diameter and up to 20’ long
- Portable mill capable of cutting logs at your location up to 60” in diameter and 17’ long
- Cookies – we have the capability of making cross-cuts (slices/cookies) 3″ to 3′ thick from logs up to 5’ (60 inches) in diameter.
- Transport– If you need help in transporting your logs to the mill and your lumber back to your location, the rate is $1.25/mile up to 50 miles from our location. For distances beyond we would be happy to provide a quote.

- Kiln drying then reduces the moisture content further, usually 8% is the target for flooring and woodworkers
- Planing – we have the capability to plane boards up to 30” wide. We utilize a Byrd shelix cutting head to drastically reduce tearing that is common with straight knife heads.
- Sanding
- Moulding
- Straight lining
- Storage – we can sticker and store your lumber while it dries for $.01 bd/ft / month (250 bd/ft minimum)
